Sivenius Suvanto is advising atNorth, the leading Nordic data center provider, in the development of a new data center FIN05 in Salo, Finland. FIN05 will be developed on a 28.6-hectare site. The electricity demand for the first phase of the project, 75 MW, has been secured, and the solutions required for the entire project’s 230 MW power needs have been mapped out. The site will be connected to the main grid via a Fingrid substation.
FIN05 is part of atNorth’s continued investment across the Nordics, alongside developments in Stockholm and Sollefteå in Sweden, Haugaland in Norway, Ølgod in Denmark, and Kouvola in Finland.
atNorth’s own investment in the FIN05 project is estimated to be approximately EUR 2 billion. This estimate does not include servers owned by atNorth’s customers or their installation, which could bring an additional customer investment of up to EUR 10 billion.
